projects
The past projects that I have worked on can be found here. I have included a mix of commercial work for clients as well as academic projects.
I am hoping to take on more projects and grow this page in the future. If you have a project that you feel my art would complement, please have a look at my FAQs page and Get In Touch!
Changement
Graphic Novel
‘Changement’ was a project done for a module as part of my MA in Illustration.
The story follows Lucinda, a young girl learning about gender, self-expression and ballet. It is a transgender coming-out story created to be accessible to young people going through their own struggles with gender and identity. Filled with neurodivergent, POC and LGBTQ+ representation, the graphic novel encompasses everything I love to include in my work.
The book will be available in print in 2025.
This project’s brief was to design and create a graphics set for the web novel ‘The Cogs Turn Quietly’. The set included the web novel cover, chapter thumbnail and series banner.
I used the material provided about the story and its characters to design the graphics set. I worked closely with the author to ensure their vision was communicated strongly throughout the pieces.
You can see the art alongside the novel here.

“I’m super happy with these images, they capture the atmosphere really well. Savion was very patient and diligent with any changes I requested!”
This project was from my undergraduate studies, and while there are things I’d change now (the font, specifically), I still find the pacing and geometry to be successful.
The brief was to illustrate a poem of our choosing. I chose ‘My Husband Who Is Not My Husband’ by Ed Madden, which I felt was a real and raw celebration of LGBTQ+ love, despite the laws that made it difficult at the time it was written.

Also for my undergraduate studies, this project’s brief was to illustrate a classical or mythological story.
The final piece ended up being an above/below view of the landscape with the characters moving throughout it.
The passage of time was purposefully unclear in this piece, as it is a story that I feel many generations could take something from and heed its warnings.
