About me
Hello!
I’m Savion (he/they), an all-rounder type illustrator, who spent almost their whole life in Manchester but is now based in North Wales!
The types of projects I like working on the most are those with messages of togetherness and inclusivity. If you’re not sure if your project is something I would be good for, you can check the FAQs to see what kind of things I’m happy to take on.
I love trying my hand at as many different art forms as I possibly can! Some of the crafts that come to mind are 3D modelling, 3D printing, creative coding, game environments, animation, various types of traditional media (Oil paints, soft pastels, that kind of thing), doll making and customisation, knitting, crochet, embroidery and even wig-making! I also love experimenting and mixing these crafts together. This has led to things like 3D-printed dolls, yarn wigs and embroidered animations!
Outside of art, I enjoy learning languages (though I’m not very good at it), music and spending time with my cats.
Thank you for visiting my website and I hope to hear from you soon!
Inspirations
& goals
Most of my inspirations come from history, culture and my own experiences. I am especially drawn to stories told from perspectives that do not often get representation and I enjoy creating characters and narratives that people can relate to, and see themselves in.
My visual inspirations come from many different types of media, including historical paintings, sculpture, video/tabletop games, photography and 80s manga.
My main goal for my art is to share hope, understanding and solidarity with LGBTQ+ and POC communities. I use my own experiences of being a queer POC to highlight issues that I and many others like me face. While it can be difficult to create pieces based on such personal issues, I feel it is important to portray the realities.
