Illustrative

works

Illustration, character designs, line work and spatial studies form the base of my artistic process. Due to having interests in many different art styles, I have amassed a large catalogue of styles I can create in.

For clarity and navigation purposes, this page is separated into three sections:

  • Digital paintings

  • Line art and spatial drawings

  • Miscellaneous styles

If you wish to work with me and a specific style, please read through my FAQs page and include references/descriptions in your message when you get in touch.

digital

paintings

My digital paintings are the most labour-intensive stand-alone illustrations. They require a lot of preparation and the process of painting is lengthy. Due to the intricacy of layering and detailing, I find this style to be the most rewarding once the piece is done.

While I usually paint real people or fantasy portraits in a semi-realistic style, I have also included a few fabric and artist studies.

Line art

and spatial drawing

Ink and line work are my favourite parts of creating images. The thought and careful consideration of line widths, colours and placement is something I find enjoyable and I can line sketches very quickly due to years of practice.

I started studying spatial works and perspective shots of rooms or objects during my undergraduate, mainly to improve my backgrounds for my narrative pieces. However, these pieces ended up taking on a life of their own and exist now outside of the comic panels.

Miscellaneous

Art styles

I’ve been fortunate to be able to try out and develop many different styles of illustrative work over the years.

I have researched and created for many different purposes ranging from tattoo designs to product conceptualisation, in styles falling anywhere between realism and abstract.

I am glad to have a large collection of different styles I can work with and mix up. This allows me to create art in tailor-made styles that fit the project’s required needs.
